A lot of you know me from my blog Book Basset. I started it back in May of 2012. It was merely a way to get free and discounted Kindle books out to people. At first I was very formal, not saying much about myself, only giving brief descriptions of what books to expect in that post and then listing the books. Quick, easy, cold.
I soon grew curious to know if anyone was actually reading the little blurb I put at the top of each post. I decided to do a little experiment. I wrote about my adventures with elves. Sometimes we got along, sometimes they had madcap adventures at my expense. I wrote outlandish tales that was complete and utter nonsense. Soon my question was answered. Yes…. people read what I wrote and the feedback was wonderful. I loved making people laugh. The part I was not expecting was through all my tall tales people were starting to really get to know me, and in return I was getting to know a lot of my readers. Soon my tall tales started to fade and I wrote about my real life. I told just as crazy stories about my two sweet boys (I call them my baby bassets), stories about my misadventures with my best friend Rachael, as well as my life with my ever patient hubby, Christian. So sooo patient.
As I have said, my Book Basset readers know a lot about me, but on my BB blog I have kept it short and sweet. Today I decided to really let you all into my world. Kinda… I am still a bit camera shy, but I will work on that. My mind is usually all over the place, so I think the easiest way to share with people my little world is to start where I feel the most like me in My Sanctuary My Backyard Garden.
