Quarryhill Botanical Gardens

You are here: Home / Inspiration / Quarryhill Botanical Gardens
August 6, 2019 by Katrina Hupfeld

A very popular local magazine had published the “40 Best Ways To Celebrate Summer” in their July/ August issue. I love this magazine. We live in an area that people travel from all over the world to visit, and I only know about Target & Costco. This issue of the magazine was a perfect way to discover local sites to make the most out of our Summer. One of the places mentioned was Quarryhill Botanical Gardens. “This is not your typical botanical garden. Quarryhill is a wild Asian woodland, intentionally not manicured and featuring one of the largest collections of wild-sourced Asian plants in the world. From the remains of an abandoned quarry, Quarryhill Botanical Garden evolved as a glorious example, to all gardeners, of what can happen when you dream big.” I was worried that my boys would get bored, but that was not the case at all. It’s  not manicured and wild nature give the younger ones fantastic places to explore and roam free
